Do you want to help keep
dog waste out of landfills, reduce the use
of plastics, and return organics back to
nature? Here are ways to support this recycling
program. The success of this effort will
ensure expansion in the Denver Metro area
and will increase the chances that similar
zero waste projects will be implemented
at other locations.
1. Purchase Doggone Good
Compost and EnviroWagg Bags. Visit Compost
and
Compostable Bags for details. The raw
waste comes in, so the high-quality soils
must be used as intended to produce bountiful
plants! Proceeds benefit our dog waste composting
efforts.
2. Patronize our Green
Partners. These associates are working
with EnviroWagg to improve sustainable pet
practices. Take your canine friends to the
parks that recycle and have them "contribute"
to the cause!
3. Patronize the companies
that have adopted doggie stations at dog
parks in Broomfield, Englewood, Thornton
and Westminster that participate in our
composting program. Thank them for supporting
community recycling.
4. Contact us if you would like to have
your local dog park or facility participate
in our composting program.
Public sites must maintain separate, clearly
marked receptacles for "clean"
dog waste and trash. We will customize a
program to fit the park or facility's individual
requirements.
5. Contact us if you would like to contribute
large quantities of "clean" dog
waste or can provide a location where waste
can be collected for transport to our composting
site. We will try to accommodate you with
a collection route.
"Clean" dog waste is compatible
with our composting system:
- reasonably free of
trash
- collected in small
"biodegradable" pick-up bags,
paper bags, or
- collected loose in
large quantities and contained in full-size
plastic trash bags.
